Zouk Can Has A Facebook
In between pretending to look busy at work and actually being busy (which happens to be most of the time, y'hear?), my little quickie breaks consists of responding to people who are too free on gtalk/msn, finishing up boxes of ice cold Milo from the pantry, looking out the window at my car to make sure I dont get a parking ticket, fiddling with the Rubik's cube on my table (blue, green, yellow, yay!), blog-stalking, extreme toe-twiddling and Facebook-ing my life away.
My heart skipped a beat when I found out how many bazaars are on next weekend!
Anyhoo, Facebook has once again proved itself to be indispensable when I found out that having the right friends at the right time, can be a potential goldmine for free swag (i just remembered my other great love)!!
Which is why I just added Zouk Malaysia as a friend on Facebook. Yes, I finally caved and added a faceless entity into my friends list! Because I've been doing some spying and apparently, having Zouk Malaysia as your Facebook friend can give you so much more awesome privileges than your Top Friends can. Pfft..
My ticket to.. Free swag!!!! Awesooommmmmmeeeeeee....!!
Now everyone knows Zouk KL as the place to be seen at for a night of good dance music, with a venue whose different rooms reads like a delicious menu of dance music platters to please all the huffy and fussy people out there(went for the grand relaunch event and had a blast). I actually find it pretty hard to believe, but the list of privileges that comes with being a Facebook friend with Zouk Malaysia is ridiculously filled with free stuff =D
Dissect them, I shall!!
1. Free entry to Zouk Room & Barsonic
ZOMG FREE CLUBBING 0__0 I am sold. Wtf.
Not only that, I get to bring 3 friends to ride the free-train along with me! Phwoar.. Very the generous. Excuse me while I pause to wipe the drool off my keyboard as I think of how happy I am to be able to get me and my friends into Zouk Room and Barsonic (i love love love Barsonic!) for free and not spend a single cent *dabs*
I think this is a great offer for the poor guys who have to fork out money everytime they go clubbing, regardless of what night it is. Now they get to go in for free, and know just how sweet it is to be a lady.
So all I have to do is waltz to Zouk's side-entrance (which is Barsonic) and tell the folks that I'm with Zouk Malaysia on Facebook so lemme in! And any (3) friends of mine are friends of theirs too. The scrooge within is mucho pleased.
2. Feel important by being on permanent guest-list every Friday/Saturday & free jugs of vodka/whisky
Which doesnt really sound like much since you get to go in for free anyway, but chew on this - I get 1 jug of vodka/whisky and so do my friends who I brought in for free. Each. 1 JUG each. Holy hangover! And I thought getting a glass or two was good enough!
Drinks can get pretty expensive, so this is a pretty wicked deal right here. 1 free jug per person is crazy! I dont know if I'm ready to handle so much free alcohol. Must. Start. Padawan. Training.
3. Free Birthday parties with 6 free jugs of vodka/whisky, table reservations & guest list
I guess when you reach a certain age, sharing Happy Meals with your least favourite cousins and having the A&W Bear beat your sorry arse in musical-chairs (grrrrr..!) just doesnt cut it anymore.
Who needs rootbeer and onion rings when you can have 6 jugs of free alco to remind you that you're not getting any younger. A minimum of 10 people are needed for this, but I'm sure even that homeless guy around the corner can wrangle up 10 friends for a birthday party too.
So much free stuff T_____T This brings a whole new meaning to the term "friends with benefits".
If you still insist on paying for something when you go to Zouk so that your conscience doesnt kill you at night, there's a Midnight Madness promotion which offers 50% discounts for drinks/jugs (10pm-12am).
Just search for "Zouk Malaysia" on Facebook (not the group, mind you) and add them as a friend. Imagine the number of friends who can go in for free with me if all my friends did this!! *big shiny eyes* Granted, I dont go clubbing much. But if its free and I get free stuff, I'll pretty much go for anything. And they have a ton of cool plasma screens and LED walls to keep me occupied. Pretty.. =D (phwoar.. check this video out)
P.S. I cant bring friends in for special events and on eves of public holidays. Bummer! But one cannot be too greedy with so many other perks in hand. Who needs friends who dont have Facebook wtf. I have sold my soul to the Internet for free swag.
P.P.S. Armin Van Buuren is spinning at Zouk this Saturday (10th Jan)!!
I may be the most tragically unhip person ever, but I know that this is something alot of people would kill to go. So guess who's going? For free! Hah! Gosh how I love using that word.
